With all the political plots (roadshows), national security seems to be the least important or rank after:
(a) Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case;
(b) UMNO-PAS negotiation;
(c) PI Bala and the Altantuya's case;
(d) Economy instability;
(e) BN's party elections within the component parties;
(e) Terengganu's mercedes issue; and
(f) etc.
The Pedra Blanca and the Exclusive Economy Zone (EEZ) issue has raised some sparks but seems to neglected.
EEZ (see wikipedia.com for its definition) normally give the country which is near to the sea enjoy sovereignty over certain extend of the sea within its territory and if nothing is done to it, Singapore will expand its border and enjoy the precious materials under water ie fishes, corals, petroleum and natural gas (though there is no sign of petroleum and natural gas discovered as yet).
Malaysia should not treat this issue lightly as it may be treated as a national threat and an invasion of territory. Although the matter may not be serious as yet, but if the matter is left out of hand, it may creat chaos and a reason for war to the benefit of those who deem it fit to raise one.
The government are urged to view the matter seriously as any mismanagement at that area may creat a spark of no return.
